Today's Season of Joy reflection on John 15 verses 9-17 is by Fr. Roc O'Connor, SJ. Roc has served at parishes and universities as an educator, liturgical musician, and associate pastor for over forty years. And as founding member of the St. Louis Jesuits, he’s been blessed to compose songs for the church that gathers for Eucharist. Now, at Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House in Barrington, IL, he’s given the grace to listen with retreatants for God working in their lives.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“As the Father loves me, so I also love you.
Remain in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love.
